What a year! Longtime OKASA member Alexa Halko won 3 medals in track at the Paralymic games in Rio. Currently the world record holder for the 800 meters, Halko won two silver medals in the Women’s 400m, 800m, and bronze in the 100m. Congratulations, Alexa!
Shad Issac also had a wonderful year and is currently the National Champion of Paralympic Kayaking in 4 events: 200m (K1), 200m (Z1), 500m (K1) 500m (Z1).
In addition, Dr. Frimberger, one of our OKASA board members, won the Humanitarian of Year Award. We are so proud of all our wonderful athletes, teams, parents, and board members – thank you for all that you do!
